Meet Kevin

I’m a career helicopter pilot with over 10,000 hours of flight time (over 5000 in Flight Training) spanning 25+ years.

My origins in aviation were flying larger, multi-engine, multi-crew (like airlines) helicopters to oil rigs and ships during the day/night and in all weather conditions. This is very specialised work and something I enjoy very much.

However, flight training is my true passion, and I take it very seriously. The sense of achievement combined with the FUN FACTOR is incredible.

For those reasons, I now concentrate mainly on one-on-one flight training.

I bring the level of professionalism required for the Off-Shore flying world to my Flight Training.

As a one-on-one service, I do all the training myself. I don’t hand the work out to JUNIOR pilots, as is common with most schools.

I’m also a Flight Examiner, which means the entire process from start to finish is conducted in-house at our Gold Coast base.

From a learning perspective, this is a real bonus, as the Gold Coast Airport is a Major Airport (same as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, etc).

Note: Many pilots who learn in country airfields either avoid or find it very difficult to fly into major airports with any confidence.

From a Fun/Scenic perspective, training at the Gold Coast is amongst the best in the world.

The combination of the city, beach and country landscapes is not only challenging but highly desirable.

If you’re from interstate/international, accommodation is plentiful, as the GC is the world capital of accommodation.

From Back-Packer to 5 star in abundance, so all budgets are covered.

And what a good excuse to spend some time on the GC.

The World’s most desired holiday location!

My Approach

My approach to helicopter flight training is rooted in personalised attention, safety, and a deep passion for aviation.

With over two decades of experience as a Flight Instructor, I believe in tailoring each lesson to the individual student's needs and learning style.
Safety is always paramount, and I emphasise rigorous adherence to procedures and best practices.

My goal is not only to teach technical skills but also to instill confidence and a deep understanding of helicopter operations.
